Who we are
Utah Pools Group LLC ("we", "us") operates as Utah Pools from 2636 N Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84414. These terms govern any service we perform for you, the customer.
Scope of service
We provide pool and spa service to existing pools anywhere between Utah County and Cache County. Weekly routes run through Weber, Davis, and Morgan County; Salt Lake, Utah, and Cache County work is offered on scheduled boundary routes from our Ogden and Bountiful retail shops. Services include weekly maintenance, equipment repair and replacement, seasonal openings and closings, green-pool recovery, leak detection, salt conversions, heater and automation installs, real-estate inspections, and hot tub service.
New pool construction runs under our build team, Pools by Dip — precast, custom gunite, plunge, hot tub, and sauna installs. Same company, separate brand identity for the construction work.
Pricing & payment
- Weekly plans bill monthly in advance via card on file.
- One-time services are quoted as flat rates or honest ranges. We do not invoice "labor at $X/hour + parts" — you'll know the price before we start.
- Parts and equipment beyond the scope of a weekly plan are quoted before work begins. We don't surprise-bill.
- Late payments after 15 days may incur a service hold. We'll text and email before pausing service.
- Failed payments may carry a $25 reprocessing fee if your card declines twice.
- Sales tax applies where required by Utah law.
Cancellation
- Month-to-month weekly plans can be cancelled any time with one-visit notice. No exit fee, no chemical clawback.
- Season Pass is prepaid. We refund unused weekly visits at the standard Complete rate ($205/mo) minus opening/closing if those services have already been performed.
- One-time services can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice. Inside 48 hours, a $79 trip-charge applies if we're already routed to your area.
Guarantees
Two written guarantees apply to every Complete and Premium weekly customer:
- 30-Day No-Algae Guarantee: if your pool turns green within thirty days of a service visit, we return free of charge — chemicals, labor, and additional visits included — until the water is clear. Applies to algae blooms, not storm debris or weeks where the customer asks us to skip service.
- 2-Hour Response Promise: we'll reply to quote requests and service inquiries within two business hours (Mon–Fri 8a–6p). If we miss it, your next weekly visit is free. Saturday inquiries are returned Monday by 10a.
Equipment workmanship is warranted for one year from install. Parts carry the manufacturer warranty, and we file claims on your behalf if a part fails inside its warranty window.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide reliable access (gate codes, side-yard clearance, dog status) and let us know if any of that changes.
- Keep your power supply to pool equipment on and your autofill working.
- Notify us within 7 days of any service-quality issue. We can't credit a problem we don't hear about.
- Keep card and contact info up to date in your account.
Limits of liability
We carry general liability insurance and follow industry-standard practices for chemistry, plumbing, and electrical. If we cause damage in the course of normal service, we'll make it right — repair, replace, or credit at our discretion and your reasonable preference.
We are not responsible for: pre-existing equipment failure unrelated to our service, damage from weather or freeze events outside the winterization scope you authorized, damage from third-party work performed after our last service visit, or damage caused by chemistry imbalance that existed before we took over the pool and which we are actively correcting.
Maximum aggregate liability for any service-related claim is limited to the lesser of the actual repair/replacement cost or twelve months of the service fees you've paid us. This limit does not apply to claims involving personal injury or gross negligence.
Dispute resolution
We'd much rather hear from you first. Email contact@utahpools.com or call 801-243-3366 and ask for an owner. We resolve 95%+ of issues in one conversation.
If we can't, we agree to attempt mediation in Weber County, Utah, before either party files a lawsuit. Any litigation that does proceed will be filed in the state or federal courts located in Weber County, Utah, and governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and active customers will get email notice at least 30 days before the change applies to their account.
