The short version

We use the information you provide to respond to inquiries and service your pool. We also use website analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Marketing text messages are optional and require separate consent. We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their marketing.

What we collect

When you submit a quote, use the contact form, or contact us: your name, phone number, email address, service address, ZIP, and any details you provide about your pool (type, equipment, current condition).

When we service your pool: equipment photos, chemistry readings, service notes, equipment make/model and install dates, and access details (gate codes, dog status) that you give us at onboarding.

Website usage: we use Google Analytics to understand visits, pages viewed, and how people find and use this site. Google Analytics may collect device and browser information, approximate location, and cookie identifiers. Form delivery also processes technical information such as your IP address and submission time.

How we use it

• To respond to your quote request within 2 business hours.
• To schedule, route, and perform the services you've requested.
• To send you photo + chemistry reports after each visit.
• To send invoices and process payments.
• To answer questions about your account or pool.
• To send the service or marketing texts you choose to receive and keep a record of those choices.
• To understand website usage and improve the site.

How we share it

We share customer information only with:

• Payment processors (Stripe / Square / similar) to charge you for service.
• Service software we use to track routes, chemistry, and equipment history (Skimmer or similar industry-standard tools).
• Contact and messaging providers, including FormSubmit for website form delivery and Text Request for SMS, to process inquiries, maintain consent records, and deliver messages on our behalf.
• Google Analytics to process website usage information.
• Authorities if required by law (subpoena, court order, etc.).

We do not sell, rent, or trade customer data with anyone, and we don't share lead data with outside affiliates or partners. New-construction inquiries route to our build team, Pools by Dip, which is the same company operating under a different brand.

SMS privacy

When you use our contact and SMS opt-in form, we collect your name, mobile number, any additional details you provide, and your separate choices for service and marketing texts. We record the submission time, source page, and version and wording of the consent statements shown to you.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own use. Providers that process form submissions or deliver messages on our behalf may access the information only to provide those services, subject to our instructions. We may also disclose information when required by law.

SMS consent applies only to Utah Pools and the message types you select. Submitting the form with both boxes unchecked does not give us permission to enroll you in either SMS program. You can contact us and purchase services without agreeing to receive texts.

How long we keep it

We retain service records (chemistry, photos, equipment history) for as long as you're an active customer plus seven years for tax and warranty purposes. Quote-form submissions from non-customers are deleted after 18 months. SMS consent and opt-out records are retained as needed to document permission, honor your choices, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.

Your choices

• SMS opt-out: reply STOP to any text from us. Apart from an opt-out confirmation, we will stop sending messages from that number.
• Email opt-out: every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
• Data deletion: request deletion by emailing contact@utahpools.com. We'll honor it within 30 days, except for records we're required to keep for tax/warranty.
• Access your data: ask us for a copy of what we have on you. We'll send it within 30 days.

Cookies

We store your theme preference (dark, light, or automatic) in your browser’s local storage. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure website usage. You can manage or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings.

Children

We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll post material changes here with a new "last updated" date. If the change affects how we collect or share data, we'll email active customers before it takes effect.
